Fly Control

Flies move directly between waste, drains and food surfaces, making them a serious hygiene risk for kitchens, restaurants and food-processing units. Our treatment targets breeding sites, not just the adult flies you can see.

  • Breeding-site identification & treatment — bins, drains, waste areas
  • Residual & space spraying tuned to the facility type
  • UV light-trap placement for ongoing control in food areas
  • Sanitation recommendations to prevent re-infestation

Fly Control Services for Homes, Restaurants & Food Units

Flies are a food-safety hazard, and for any commercial kitchen or food business they are also an audit failure waiting to happen. A house fly feeds on garbage, drain sludge and animal waste, then lands on exposed food and transfers pathogens including salmonella, E. coli and shigella through its feet, its mouthparts and its habit of regurgitating to feed. A single female lays several hundred eggs, and in Rajasthan's warm climate the egg-to-adult cycle can complete in under eight days.

Effective fly control depends entirely on finding the breeding medium. House flies breed in refuse and organic waste; small drain flies breed in the gelatinous film inside floor drains and sink traps; fruit flies breed in fermenting residue under equipment, in mop sinks and in discarded produce. NPMS identifies which fly you actually have, eliminates the breeding source, and then layers on baiting, residual treatment and mechanical trapping to bring down the adult population.

Signs You Need Professional Fly Management

  • Persistent fly activity around kitchens, dining areas, waste bins or service counters
  • Small dark flies hovering near floor drains, sink traps and mop sinks, which indicates drain fly breeding
  • Tiny flies around fruit, juice stations, bar counters or bin liners, typical of fruit flies
  • Dark speck spotting on ceilings, walls, light fittings and packaging material
  • Maggots visible in garbage areas, drainage channels or wet organic waste

Our Fly Control Treatment Plan

  1. 1

    Species identification & breeding survey

We inspect bins, drains, grease traps, service yards, under-equipment gaps and waste-handling areas to determine the fly species and locate the exact breeding medium sustaining the population.

  2. 2

    Source elimination & drain treatment

Bio-enzymatic drain treatment and sanitation correction remove the organic film and residue in which larvae develop — without this step, adult control gives only temporary relief.

  3. 3

    Baiting & residual surface treatment

Fly bait and residual insecticide are applied to resting surfaces, waste areas, external walls and service zones where adults congregate, using formulations suitable for food-handling environments.

  4. 4

    Mechanical control & monitoring

We recommend and position UV light traps, air curtains and mesh screens at entry points, then monitor catch counts to measure whether pressure is coming from inside or outside the premises.

Why Choose NPMS for Fly Control

For restaurants, hotels, dairies, food-processing units and hospitals, fly control is not optional — FSSAI and third-party audits look for a documented fly management programme with monitoring records. NPMS provides exactly that: species identification, breeding-source reports, light trap catch analysis and corrective-action recommendations you can present to an auditor. We are ISO 9001:2015 certified and liability insured, with 30+ years of experience in food-sector pest management across Rajasthan. All chemicals are CIB&RC approved and applied by trained technicians using methods appropriate for areas where food is prepared and stored.

Areas We Serve

We offer fly control in Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Ajmer, Kota, Bikaner and surrounding districts for restaurants, hotels, food factories, dairies, hospitals, canteens and residential premises.

Frequently Asked Questions about Fly Control

Why do flies keep returning after spraying?

Spraying kills adults only. If the breeding medium — drain sludge, waste residue or fermenting material — is not removed, a fresh generation emerges within about a week.

Are UV light traps enough on their own?

Light traps are valuable for monitoring and catching adults indoors, but they do not address breeding sources or external pressure, so they work best as part of a full programme.

Is fly treatment safe in a working kitchen?

Yes. We use gel baits and targeted residual application in non-food-contact zones, and schedule treatment outside service hours wherever possible.

How quickly will fly numbers drop?

Adult numbers fall within 24–48 hours of treatment. Sustained control follows once breeding sources are eliminated, usually within two weeks.
